So there we have it!  The Jackson 5 takes the top spot for the third year running.  It’s just one of those songs that people hear and within seconds they hit the dance floor.

As ever, there are some notable exceptions that didn’t make the list this year, songs that you would expect to see in the top 100 as they too are massive party bangers in their own right and these are…

  • Kings Of Leon – Sex On Fire
  • House Of Pain – Jump Around
  • Frank Sinatra – Theme from New York New York
  • Neil Diamond – Sweet Caroline
  • Beyonce – Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)

As with all my charts, there are some songs that didn’t get much love at all being played just once throughout the whole year.  Here’s a few of them…

  • AC/DC – Highway To Hell
  • Baby D – Let Me Be Your Fantasy
  • Martha Reeves & The Vandellas – Jimmy Mack
  • Roy Orbison – Oh, Pretty Woman
  • The Blues Brothers – Everybody Needs Somebody
  • A-ha – Take On Me
  • Belinda Carlisle – Heaven Is A Place On Earth

So there you go, that’s my musical round-up for 2019.  All the play counts have been reset for 2020 and I look forward to bringing you this years list, this time, next year!  Until then, have a fantastic year and I look forward to seeing you on the dance floor 🙂
