I’m sure you’ll agree, it’s a great list!

When you compare the list to last year, it’s really not that different.  Jackson 5’s I Want You Back dominated the top spot during 2017 and to be honest is usually the track I start the evening party with as it’s an instant floor filler and probably the main reason why so many people put it on their playlist.

As ever there are some notable exceptions that didn’t make the list.  Songs that you would expect to certainly see in the top 100.  Songs that I would class as absolute party bangers..and these are…

  • Journey – Don’t Stop Believin’
  • Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons – December ’63 (Oh What A Night)
  • Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes – (I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life
  • The Village People – YMCA
  • The Nolans – I’m In The Mood for Dancing
  • Take That – Never Forget
  • Dexy’s Midnight Runners – Come On Eileen
  • Vengaboys – Boom Boom Boom Boom
  • Vengaboys – We Like To Party! (The Vengabus)

As with all charts, there’s the bottom end of the scale and these songs were the last 8 that didn’t receive much love in 2018 being just played once throughout the whole year…

  • Black Lace – Agadoo
  • Beastie Boys – Fight For Your Right
  • Basement Jaxx – Oh My Gosh
  • Ava Max – Sweet But Psycho
  • Aerosmith – I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing
  • AC/DC – Back In Black
  • Abba – Does Your Mother Know
  • A-Ha – Take On Me

So there you go folks, that’s my musical round-up for 2018.  The stats have been reset ready for this year’s events and I look forward to bringing this list to you again in a years time!  Until then, I hope you have a fantastic year and I look forward to seeing you on the dance floor!
